We have a range of services available to assist you throughout your studies and help you to get the most out of the educational program.
All materials you need for your course will be supplied to you. We will give you workbooks and learning record books that have learning activities and opportunities to practise and test your knowledge and skills prior to assessment being undertaken. When you complete your activities you can do a self-assessment to see if you are ready to do the final assessment.
Djaringo have computers available if you need them for your training. You can use the computers during working hours – 8am to 4pm on weekdays. There is usually a trainer around who can help you.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy
If you have any trouble with reading, writing or numbers that may hold you up from doing your training it is important that you tell your trainer. We have lots of different ways to help you. If you find it hard to complete your workbooks the trainer will be able to work with you to find a better way that suits your learning needs. If you are having a hard time with your writing skills your trainer may be able to help you find extra support. We have a dedicated learning centre where you can get one-on-one help with Language, Literacy and Numeracy issues.
Djaringo has a bus that can pick you up and drop you off if you don’t have a way to get to your training course. Ask a member of the admin staff for the bus timetable.
Djaringo provides lunch to all course students.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided if students need them for their course.
