CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Unit Description

This one day course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to prepare you for working in the construction industry.  Focusing on you as a new worker  on how to identify health and safety legislation, identify construction hazards and what are risk control measures, communication and reporting procedures, incident and emergency response.

On successful completion  you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the unit and also a White Card, which has been registered with WorkSafe WA. You will need to carry your White Card on you, whilst on all construction sites.

Assessments

  • Theory Assessment (Short answer, multiple choice questions)
  • Practical Assessment (Using PPE – fitting and wearing PPE, interview questions)

** Note your practical assessment Fitting and wearing PPE, will be recorded via video**
